FAQ

  • How long should I let my candle burn?
We suggest burning no longer than 4 hours at a time, but not world-changing if you go just a bit longer! Be sure to keep an eye on it from time to time to ensure your candle is burning nicely. Stop burning when 1/2" of (unmelted) wax is left, as you do not want to risk overheating the vessel and causing it to shatter!
  • I want to repurpose my candle vessel. Any tips on how to remove the wax?
Here are some tips to get rid of leftover wax and clean your containers safely: Removing the wax: Freeze Method: Pop the container in the freezer for a few hours. The wax will harden and shrink, making it easier to pop out. Use a butter knife to gently pry out the remaining wax. Hot Water Method: Fill the container with hot (not boiling) water and let it sit for a few minutes. The heat will melt the wax, which should float to the surface. Once it cools, you can remove the wax layer on top and pour out the water. Double Boiler: Place the container in a pan with a bit of water (like a double boiler setup) on low heat. This will melt the wax safely without overheating the glass. Carefully pour out the wax once melted. Oven Method: Line a baking tray with aluminum foil, place the container upside down on it, and set your oven to a low temperature (around 180°F/82°C). The wax will melt and collect on the foil. Remove carefully and wipe clean. Cleaning the Container: Soap and Hot Water: Once most of the wax is out, use hot soapy water and a sponge or scrub brush to remove any remaining residue. Vinegar and Baking Soda: For stubborn waxy residue, a bit of vinegar and baking soda can help break it down. Rubbing Alcohol: If there’s any leftover waxy residue, a little rubbing alcohol on a cloth can help finish it off. And if you choose to dispose the vessel, please recycle!
